Where Do I Start?
The first course for anyone who wants to be a drone pilot is the Basic Course A1/A3
In order to take the exam in higher level courses such as the specific one (Drone Pilot Course – STS), you must first obtain the A1/A3
AESA, in accordance with the new European regulations, has developed a syllabus for the preparation of this exam.
In short, it is a completely free course offered by AESA on its website, and of course we are not going to sell it to you.
At TARRACODRONE we offer you the syllabus completely free if you wish so that you can take the official exam on the AESA platform for the Open Categories A1/A3 that will allow you to fly Drones with class marking C0 to C4 (Drones up to 25 Kg) and the option of a tutor to resolve doubts regarding the official exam.
how many subjects do you have to study?
You must complete an online training course provided by AESA followed by an exam also provided online by AESA. The exam syllabus consists of 9 different subjects, resulting in 40 questions with a duration of 40 minutes.
To obtain the “Online Training Pass Test” certificate, you must pass the exam with at least 75% of the correct answers and it will appear as Pass at the end of any attempt. Once the exam has been passed, no action is required. When the certificate has been issued, the user will receive a notification in the email address with which they registered. The certificate is valid for 5 years and the renewal process must be initiated with AESA prior to the expiration date.
In the event that the 2 exam attempts are exhausted and a Fail grade is obtained, the remote pilot will receive a negative resolution and must re-register to obtain two new attempts and pass the exam.

You will have to register on the AESA website using a DNI or Digital Certificate

Once you have completed your registration, AESA will send you some keys along with the instructions for taking the exam. It usually takes about 3 days but it is possible that it may be delayed. Don’t worry! You will receive them.

As soon as you receive the keys you have to connect with AESA and you have 24 hours availability to take the exam, and only 30 days from when you receive the keys.
As soon as you pass the exam as approved, AESA will send its certificate digitally to your email, so you have passed the theoretical exam. Congratulations, you now have your first certificate, now you can go for the free Open Category A2 or for the Specific Category Drone Pilot Course
Training Scheme
For class C 1 aircraft or higher, complete an online training course and pass an online theoretical knowledge exam
Drone Less than 250 g
If your Drone weight is Less than 250g, you can fly without a license but not wherever you want

Baptism of Flight
If you want to get started in the world of Drones, and you don’t know where to start, this is your course. Have you just bought a drone, and you need a space where you can fly quietly to do the first practices? Do you want to try flying a drone?
You will be able to do some flight practices with us, and perform the main basic exercises to acquire a reasonable level of knowledge and skills to operate the UAS.
The practical phase will consist of 2 hours, which you will do at our Bellveí flight field, with the help of our instructor.
And we will guide you and explain the basic concepts of how to prepare to be a drone pilot.

WHERE DO WE DO OUR FLIGHT PRACTICE?
The practical part is carried out by our instructor at the Bellvei flight field, Bellveí Aerodrome (Tarragona). It is a large, clean and comfortable area to fly in, where you will be accompanied at all times by an instructor who will teach you everything you need to learn how to fly a drone. You will be able to capture the best images of the beautiful landscape offered by the Bellvei aerodrome!
You will learn to fly drones in a flight field, in a very personalized way.
